The oldest cemetery in the southern state of Australia is no stranger to innovation. Thanks to its efforts and its commitment to continuous improvement, it has become a great attraction for visitors who are looking for a quiet place, a place sculptural heritage and where they can get distracted by the different activities that are organized there, such as: hiking, jazz concerts, and even bicycle races.

Next to the tombs in this cemetery, there are centenary olive trees whose olives are cold pressed to get an excellent extra virgin olive oil, which is packed in limited edition bottles of 250 ml. At a price of 7.8 AU $, they are sold to the numerous visitors. And it must be recognized that due to the high demand, they do not last long.

This initiative, according to the management of the cemetery, arose because of the problems they had to «sell death.» So they decided to innovate, since it is easier to sell «life». In this way, the EVOO that they produce and market in the Adelaide cemetery, where more than a million souls rest, has opened the mind of the visitors, and has defied taboos about death.

Thanks to these efforts made by the Australian authorities, they have been able to attract not only the dead, but also the living to this historic cemetery.
