The Bishop of the Church usually travels to different parts of the world, especially where there is social upheaval, disrespect for life, and persecution of religious minority groups. In his travels, he does not rule out calling out the high government positions of the countries he visits, always with the aim of spreading his message of making peace and prosperity.
Pope Francis, the greatest representation of the Catholic Church, and therefore of Christ on Earth, is given the direction of the church and the apostolic primacy. His spiritual authority is not only exercised in the 44 hectares of the Vatican State, but affects millions of Catholics present in the world.
On one of his visits, Pope Francis met with US President Donal Trump. After a calm greeting in the Vatican City, both talked and even joked for more than half an hour, and exchanged books and documents. Trump delivered a set of five books from the first edition of the American civil rights leader Martin Luther King. The Pope presented Trump with a signed copy of his 2017 peace message titled Nonviolence – A Political Style for Peace, a copy of his 2015 encyclical letter on the need to protect the environment from the effects of climate change and last but not least, a small olive tree, which is a symbol of peace and prosperity. And when he handed it to Trump, he told him his desires and the symbology of his gift by saying,«It is my desire that you become an olive tree to build peace.»
The Pope, who loves both EVOO and olive groves, demonstrates his love for this crop with with the care and affection he places in his own private oil mill. Also, he shows a lot of gratitude for the oil he receives every year from the oil produced by Sollicciano prisoners in the Castello di Nipozzano. He has a great passion for EVOO and olive growing. This is why he has a manual of the Spanish edition of the manual International Olive Growing. A member of our staff, Sergio Caño, delivered it to him at Papal Reception. This book is now present with Pope Francis as he spreads peace throughout the world.
