At the base of the Sierra de Gredos Sur, in the region in Extremadura known as La Vera, Alejandro Sanz can enjoy a few moments of peace in his rural estate of 32 hectares.

On his property he has several hectares of oak forest, more than 300 fig trees, 600 olive trees, 800 buckeye trees and a garden where ecological products are cultivated. Also, he has chickens, horses and other farm animals. With the fruits of his estate, he has created the brand Sombra and has begun selling ecological Extra Virgin Olive Oil along with jars of jam. The famous singer has done this so everyone can enjoy the quality of a Spanish product elaborated in an artisanal way.

The logo of Sombra came about from a drawing from his oldest daughter. She did it on a rainy day when she was just 5 years old. Using this as the logo gives a nice closeness and familiar feel to his products.

As is said by Sanz, while surrounded by olive trees, “In Jarandilla things are made well and people live better.”
